How can I change the background color of a status/transition value?

We are trying to change the color in the background for our transition/status button. Example if we have a test case and it passes it's Green and if it fails we want that to be RED... See attached. Screen Shot 2018-05-23 at 5.01.23 PM.png

You can't inject the code you'd need to do that on Cloud I'm afraid.  (And it's a bit of a fiddle on server too!)
