Atlassian Team reactivation made easy

Hi Community 👋

We’ve made it easier to reactivate your team if it has been recently deleted! Team members can now complete this process by themselves, without needing to submit a support request .

Reactivate your deleted team

1. Just like before, if you want to delete your team you’ll need to check that you understand the potential impacts to any work connected to the team
2. You’ll now receive an email confirmation when the team is deleted. We’ll also notify your other team members, and any organisation admins to keep them in the loop.
3. You can reactivate your team within 30 days by visiting the team profile. The team will be brought back, and we can recover a limited amount of deleted work connections as well.
4. Once your team is active and ready to use again, your team members and organisation’s admins will also be notified of the change.

Who can reactivate a team?

Anyone who can currently delete a team, including members of the team and organisation admins. Make sure that you reactivate the team within 30 days of deletion, otherwise it is gone forever.

What’s next?

While not everything can be restored at this stage, we are working hard behind the scenes to recover more types of impacted work when a deleted team is reactivated. We’ll update the guide on deleting teams once we have news to share.

I would like to see a 🗑️ for everything in Jira, especially issue deletions.

Are you referring the ability to soft delete everything in Jira?

Hi @April Chi , yes I'm referring to soft delete, so it would go to a trash first and actually be deleted after 30 or 60 days. This way, an admin would be able to undo the operation.
