We’re excited to announce that soon, you’ll be able to import your projects directly from Asana into Jira Work Management with just a few clicks.

It’s time to connect every team to a shared roadmap. With the right Jira for them, team members can collaborate and team leads finally get the visibility they need to report on cross-functional progress.

New: Summary view in mobile app

Need to check in on your project on the go? Now you can with the summary view in the Jira mobile app for both iOS and Android.

New: Use Jira Smart Chips with Google

Did you hear the news? You can now get an enhanced experience in Google Docs with Jira Smart Chips. Instead of a long URL, you can see a live summary of your linked Jira issues. If you’re familiar with Smart Links, you can think of Smart Chips as the same thing, but within Google Docs.

I'm curious why there hasn't been an update on the forum where copious users asked for a desktop app to compete with other work management systems. Is there one in the works?

Do you think you could tell us when the ASANA importer will be available? 

We are mid migration of a large ASANA instance. Until now, this has been a manual and slow error prone process. It would be amazing to use this if the wait isn't too long

Hi @Abby Stiris it is almost the end of the quarter, we are also in the middle of a migration from Asana to JWM. Any chance I can reach out directly to have the feature activated or can you share a timeline? It must be hours or days until its release, right? ;)

Hi @Abby Stiris , sorry to be a little off-topic here, but out of interest might you have an update on the ability to nest stories/tasks under epics in the timeline view (i.e., https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JWMCLOUD-111)?  Without this capability larger projects become very difficult to manage in the timeline view.
