work offline with Zephyr for Jira

kerensho December 15, 2020

Hi,

we're working with Zephyr for Jira, some of our tests are executed in a disconnected lab, but we do need to work with the tests from Jira (Zephyr).

Did you ever encountered this situation? is there an offline mode for Zephyr (and Jira)?

Thanks in advanced

Keren

You are correct @Nic Brough -Adaptavist-  Zephyr only supports the saas version of jira.

No, Jira doesn't have an "offline" mode, it's software as a service.  Same for Zephyr, as it's built on top of Jira.

https://almworks.com/jiraclient/overview.html is an offline client for Jira, but I don't think it supports the Zephyr app.

@kerensho ,

The tests has to be inside JIRA to achieve all the test related functionalities. I would suggest you to get the test cases imported to JIRA using the test case importer in Zephyr so that all the test cases can be centralized. On a side note if you have XML result files from your test executions those can be brought back to JIRA using automation.
