Hello ,

i would use an existing workflow for my project, is there a way to rename that workflow only in my project ? because i would do this to avoid having N project sharing the same workflow.

No, you can't "rename the workflow in a project", because there isn't one.

The workflow is not part of the project, it is a global item that the project is configured to use.  You can rename a workflow, any way you would like to, and that change will be shown in the projects that use it.

If you want to have a different name for a workflow appear in different projects, then you will need to duplicate and rename the current workflow and associate the new one with the new name with the projects where you want it to appear with the new name.

You say:

"I have a workflow A which is used in 3 project.

i would rename workflow A to workflow1 in the project 1, workflow2 in the second project...

But if i would create a new project i would use the workflow A then rename it in my new project...

you think is there a solution for my probleme?"

There is no "problem" here.  If you want to use workflow A in three different projects, that's fine.  It would be a bad thing to have three different names for A depending on what project is using it - you would be misrepresenting what you are doing to your people.   Workflow A is not Workflow A, Bob and Banana, depending on who is looking at it, it's workflow A for everyone.

If you really do genuinely have a need to call a workflow different things depending on the project, then do what Dirk said - copy it, give the new workflows your new names, then associate the different workflows with the different projects.

Hey @Marine Tm ,

You'll have to create a copy of the current workflow and then assign that to your project.

Details about how to work with workflows (and how to copy one) can be found here

@Dirk Ronsmans Hello,

Thank you, but with this solution i can't rename my workflow in my project .... when i do a copy is the old workflow's name who will be modified not the one in my project...

I mean for example :

I have a workflow A which is used in 3 project.

i would rename workflow A to workflow1 in the project 1, workflow2 in the second project...

But if i would create a new project i would use the workflow A then rename it in my new project...

you think is there a solution for my probleme?

Thank you
