Hi,

AIO Power BI Connector for Jira app can be used to easily export Jira data into PowerBI and create the dashboards.

It is the #1 selling connector for Jira on the marketplace and is used by hundreds of organizations world wide, including several fortune 500 companies.

It is available for all the  three platforms Cloud/Server/Data Center.

If you would like us to provide some samples or have any questions, please feel free to email us at support@aioreports.com.

Hi @rupesh.shelar ,

There is a number of add-ons and other tools available to integrate Jira Cloud with Power Bi.

Please review below links and see if you can find your answer in there:

If the above links won't help, please let us know what you are trying to achieve exactly.

Cheers,
Dario

not getting complete information through it

unable to access issue through power bi

any other proper steps

@rupesh.shelar ,

We cannot possibly help with this thread if you don't let us know:

  1. How did you integrate Jira with Power BI
  2. What would you like to achieve exactly
  3. What information is incomplete
  4. Confirm whether this is for Jira Server or Cloud (I can see the tag for Cloud but you don't seem to have access to any Cloud instance).

Dario

Hi @dinabandhu.panda ,

Are you working with @rupesh.shelar  or you are talking about a separate issue you are having?

I am asking since this question is asked for Jira Cloud but if you connect to locahost:8081 then I assume we are talking about Jira Server (running on your local machine). Can you confirm this as well?

For the rest, if my understand is correct, you are trying to get Jira data into power bi.

Now, in order to proceed:

  1. Based on what I can read till now I assume you are using the integration shown in the following video: Power BI Connector for Jira (Export data from Atlassian Jira to Microsoft Power BI platform). Can you confirm this is correct or provide the exact steps you are following?
  2. Can you confirm you have Jira System Administrator rights?
  3. Do you manage to get the Data Source URL from Jira correctly or this fails?
  4. Do you have Power BI and Jira running on the same machine? If not, it is normal this is not working when using 'localhost:8081' because localhost is the address of the local machine and therefore Power BI expects to find Jira on the same machine. Can you try to replace localhost with the IP you use to access Jira remotely?

Please answer above questions and provide as many details as possible of the problem you are facing.

Cheers,
Dario

Hello Expert,

yes we both are working together

1) i am not able to create data source due to unable to click on administration option may be

2) it is disable unable to click on it

3)tried from remote same issue unable to access administration option..

@rupesh.shelar ,

The provided screenshot is only showing only the title of the Administration menu.

It is perfectly normal that you cannot click on it since that's only the title of the menu. You are supposed  to click on the menu items below it:

Jira-Server-Administration.jpg

Depending on which admin rights you will see different menu items in the Administration menu. E.g. below is how it looks like when you only have project administration permission:

Jira-Server-Administration-project-man-right.jpg

Users with no admin rights do not see the Cog wheel icon at all:

Jira-Server-Administration-no-rights.jpg

Now, please notice that at this point in time I still don't know anything about the issue and I cannot possibly help until I get  an answer to my questions:
