User with firstname.lastname2@xyz.com not sync with Jira from MS Active directory

User with firstname.lastname2@xyz.com does not sync with Jira. It is showing user name but when I select the user it is showing "user does not exist". Can't we sync similar name users by adding 1,2 or 3 after the last name?

You need to define the claims in AD properly in order to have synchronization in Jira
