Unable to filter a search using the built-in Team field

My user is trying to create a filter whereby they can search for issues in an epic, over a particular range, and assigned to a particular Team. However, the Team field is not allowing us to set any parameter to filter it. We receive the attached errors (it either says the function isn't supported, or that the field can't be "non-empty."). If we set it to Empty, it works and displays all teams, but this is not useful because we're trying to filter it to just one Team.

However, We are unable to find a supported syntax for filtering by Team. I am not seeing it in the list of restricted fields here where it would require a certain syntax: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwareserver0904/advanced-searching-fields-reference-1188766214.html. It just says nothing is supported at all.

They are using the Team field which appears to be built into Jira and marked "Locked" (cannot be customized). I do not know if this makes a difference, as we are not trying to customize the field, just search for it.

Are we not able to filter by Team?
