Time Tracking Hours - Is it still a global change ?

Optym IT March 31, 2020

We want to set time tracking hours based on projects ? I know where to make the change but that looks like a systems wide change. Can it be done project wise ?

Thank you.

Dear @John Funk  We want to change the time tracking values itself. As of now JIRA counts working hours per day as 10 hours, we want to change it to 7 or 8 hours but it will be different for each project. Is that possible ?

Thanks.

No, that's not something you can change per project.  :-(

Hi @Optym IT ,

You can control quick projects have worklog (recording time) available to them by editing the Permission Scheme for that project.

1. Go to Project - Settings

2. Choose Permissions

3. Open the Permission Scheme attached to the Project

4. Click on the Actions button on the top right and choose Edit Permissions.

5. Go to the Time Tracking Permission Section at the very bottom

6. Change the entries for Work on Issues permissions.

I hope that helps!
