How to make custom fields default in issue type details?

Question

Is there a way somehow to make a default field set for details in an issue type for a project. For example if an issue type has a serial number field that is inputted through one of the sheets can it be displayed in details without manually adding it every time? Right now using the admin drop down and adding the field detail I want works, but can there be a set of default fields already loaded?

So where it shows Serial number I had to add it using the admin drop down. Is there a way fields can appear in details by default?

Hi Filip,

If I understand correctly, do you want to add a new option to a list without using the admin configuration?  I know you can create labels on the fly and JIRA will suggest them next time you start typing them, but I'm not sure if this is what you want.
