How to hide the issue types for test activities

Hi All,

For Xray, I created 3 issue types test,test plan and test execution. But these are getting displayed on the JIRA board. How can I by default only populate tasks/epics/ user stories and not display the test activities.

P.S : I know the filter option but that's not what I am looking for.

Hi,

Please note that JIRA determines the issues that are relevant to the board, based on the underlying filter. I would recommend to follow the JIRA guidelines and use filter to determine the board tickets.

Though not recommended, another hack would be, the Column - Status configuration. As long as your XRay issue type tickets have statuses that do not overlap with tasks/user stories/epics, the board will not be showing the XRay tickets on the board as the ticket statuses are not mapped. This hack has its own risks and limitations.
