How to Limit Email Notifications

If I make edits or add a comment to a Jira task, how do I turn off/limit the email notifications I receive.  Someone who is the reporter or assignee or watcher should get notice of my work. In other words since I made the comment or edit to a comment, I don’t want to receive an email of what I did only what others doAnd vice versa?

Please click on your avatar in the upper right corner then personal settings. check if "You make changes to the issue" is checked and if so disable.
