Create Issue, Project select partial name "REST" not found


Jira 8.5.2

Project select box within the "Create Issue Dialog"

e.g. using "WEB", the following entries are found:


but using "REST", shows only


but not


Any ideas why this happens ?

Hi @Hans Pesata 

Tested this out in my test JIRA. 

When i started typing WEB in the create dialog project selection section, i could get only projects that starts with WEB

Could you check whether in your case 'PRE1:PRE2.WEB' has project key with WEB? May be that's why it was listed?


Yes, the PRE1:PRE2.WEB project has the project key WEBUI.

But PRE1.PRE2.REST has RESTFUL as key and therefore should also be found ?
