Copy scripted fields to a custom field

Hello everyone, How can I transfer the contents of the Scripted Fields to normal Custom Fields. I need the scripted field values of all existing issues to be populated into the new custom fields. Any idea how can I accomplish this ?

I have a scripted field

• Last Comment and created a Last Comment Clone (Text Field (multi-line))

This really isn't a good idea, especially not to do it as a direct read and copy.  The better method to do it will be to write the scripts you will need to maintain the fields going forward, and apply them to existing issues so that they duplicate the current scripted field content.

Why are you trying to do this?  It sounds like a bit of a downgrade?
