Can I make workflow scheme changes before I reindex?

Hello,

   I have made some recent field config updates that require a reindex at some point. If I want to make some updates to some workflow schemes, should I make them before or after i run the reindex? Or does it not matter?

Re-indexing may be necessary after certain changes to make sure that search in Jira is fast and accurate (this article may be useful: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver0712/re-indexing-after-major-configuration-changes-959314121.html)

For your use case, I don't think it matters if you wait. You can also do re-indexing in the background, so you can continue using Jira while the re-index is happening (https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver0712/search-indexing-959314114.html)
