Dears,
I was reading the documentation for Managing Jira Projects (Data center and Server).
And in the board section it was mentioned that a project admin can configure Boards.
I tried that in my project but it didn't work and I needed to add the project admin into the Board administration section in order for it to work.
I'm using the version 9.11.
Best regards
Hi @Abdelmalek Haddad
Welcome to the community!
Might be you are looking for some other document. You must be a Jira administrator or a board administrator for the board to modify its configuration.
Below document will help you to understand more for version 9.11

Hi @Abdelmalek Haddad welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Are you a Board Admin for this project? Were you a Project Admin for this project?

Hi @Dave Mathijs ,
apparently having a project admin role gives you a Board view. It means that you can visualize a board or copy it without the ability to do any modification.
