Time Tracking feature has changed

The Time tracking field used to work comparing Original Estimate against time entries (timelogs). Today we've found it only says "Time remaining" and we've to manually update that, we can't input the worked hours but do a manual difference between worked hours and the original estimate.
It's useless as it is right now, any reason why is working that way?

Hi @Juan Pais

Please make sure the Time Tracking and Original estimates are on the context fields.

The field still relate to each other, see below

I've both fields, and it worked as your screenshot until yesterday; now I'm seeing this time remaining thing (kinda useless) in all my projects/tasks without changing anything in the task fields configuration.

Still able to load time on timelogs (activity section in the task) but that won't affect the time remaining.

Hi @Juan Pais

Seems like changes have been made on the project. This would relate to the permissions scheme or the role you have pon the project.

Are you still able to log time on an issue on the project?

Yup, still able to log using timelogs and the timespent is getting registered, I can see it exporting the issues, but the time remaining isn't updating and as you can see, isn't working as in your example (it worked that way until a couple of days ago).

Not sure about permissions but I'll check with the IT guy, he shouldn't be changing anything.

Hi @Juan Pais

What marketplace app are you using for time tracking, as timelogs section is not an ootb option within Jira

I expect this is from an app is this app still licensed?

It'm almost sure it's Jiras custom time tracking tool

Jia has no custom time tracking, the one you are pointing at is time tracking field.

Time logged by Jira default ootb Time Tracking shows as follows

Screenshot 2023-12-08 at 10.21.57.png

The tab logged work is visible under within activity is "worklog" and not "timelogs".

So check what marketplace app is used with your "IT guy", as it is definitely not the ootb that is used.

@Juan Pais I am experiencing the same issue, was this something that you were able to change on your own or did Jira support have to make a change from their end? If the former, please let me know so I can fix. Thank you!
