What type of pricing and plans can we expect for Jira Product Discovery? Any plans to keep it free once officially launched if we already use other Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, ...) or if we part of the beta user group?

Hi @Patrick , thanks for the question and trying out Jira Product Discovery!

Jira Product Discovery will eventually become a paid product, but it will remain free for the next 12 months. We are currently evaluating options for how to monetize, and while we do not have details to share yet you can expect the pricing for the product to be consistent with Atlassian's other Jira products.

We will communicate with you well in advance before making these changes.

Hi @Tanguy Crusson , thanks for the heads-up. The 12 months definitely gives already a certainty for introducing it a bit more for now.

Hello @Tanguy Crusson

Do you plan to have licensing fees similar to Product Board or way less expensive?

This is also refraining us for investing time into it.

Also since the '12 months free' information is dated last January, is it still free up to late 2022 or later?

Thanks a lot!

Quentin

Hello,

I understand that you do not have full pricing plans established yet, but could you at least tell us if the users with only "Viewer" rights will be free of charge ?

Best regards,

Emeline

@Rachel Lin @Mary Raleigh  @Sherif Mansour - could you please confirm if Jira Product Discovery will offer something similar to what Atlas will offer (see below). Basically, the current features in Beta will remain part of a free Atlas tier.

From this Atlas article on pricing

What you have today will remain free in terms of features with a possible user or feature usage limit (e.g. 100 projects). We have not decided what these usage limits are yet, and welcome any feedback on this area.

If so, then it will allow my team to invest time and focus into the Atlas beta instead of another tool.

Hi @David Nadri thanks for reaching out!

Atlas is getting close to coming out of Beta. I can confirm that what you're experiencing today in Atlas will continue to be free for as many users as possible (looking at a very, very large generous free tier in terms of free users, that should work for most organisations)

We will be adding new features in the different editions of Atlas (Atlas Standard and Atlas Premium) more about that in the coming month or so - most notable requested one is private projects.

For Jira Product Discovery pricing and packaging - will leave that to @Tanguy Crusson
