We use the delivery tab in JPD to track the progress of our projects which works fine except one thing that is a bit troublesome.
We connect our JPD Ideas to Jira Software projects. There we use the following hierarchy:
Now when we connect the Initiative in JPD we only see the Epics in the progress status, but we want to see all Stories / Bugs / Support / Tasks in the Status statistic.
This can only be done at the moment when we add all Epics of an Initiative to the JPD Idea which leads to error that when creating a new epic in a project it is not in the status tracking of JPD.
Is there something planned on the roadmap to enable may be multiple Levels of tickets in the status tracking or is there some other way to overcome this issue?
I am looking forward to your feedback.
My topic are not the multi level roadmaps in Jira. They work fine. :-)
The topic is that this multi level is not reflected in the Jira Product Discovery Tab "Delivery".
Here an example:
In JPD I see 6 / 1 / 0 for this project:
Looking at the structure JPD counts only the direct issues below the delivery ticket, in that case the 7 epics. My questions was if it is planned / possible somehow to make JPD also count not the direct level but also the levels below (e. g. Epics + Stories + Bugs + Support+Task) which would lead in that case to 25 open / 7 in progress / 0 done tickets.
Hope that makes.
We have the same hierarchy, I found linking epics works well.
For example, two ideas which may be one epic and one epic can be linked separately. This way a person can see their idea complete and they don’t have to follow the full fledged initiative.
Yes it works but we had the problem the other way around so to say. Multiple times we hat the issue, that for an Idea a new epic was created and it was forgotten to link to the JPD delivery tab which lead to the confusion as it was in the initiative ticket but not in JPD.
Hi @Reifetshamer Michael thanks for sharing this feedback, I've recorded it as an insight for our future reference. It's not in our current plans to support more levels in the calculation at the moment, but we'll keep your use case in consideration. Keep an eye out for improvements we are releasing soon for the integration with Jira Software!
