Why can't I edit fields in shared filter?

Hello!

I created a filter and have the right permissions associated with the filter but there are some fields that are not editable from the filter view. Anyone know what I can do?

Hi @Afrothiti Manolis ,

JPD global fields cannot be edited within the JPD project. It sounds like that might be the case with this/these fields you are referring to. They need to edited under the Settings >> Products >> JPD Global Fields tab:

Hi @Nick Haller

I'm trying to edit both JPD project and other Jira Initiatives in one filter.. do you know how to do that? In my screen shot, the red boxes are JPD projects (Product) and fields. But, even Target Date, a non JDP field cant be edited from the filter view...Screenshot 2025-01-28 at 2.56.53 PM.png

Hi @Nick Haller even for my non JDP fields - now showing "Forecast Date" that IS on an Initiative, I still cant edit the field in the filter view... do you know why?

In the demo shows I cant edit but on that Cloud ticket exists the Forecast date and is editable..  i need this weekly report to be editable in one filtered view

Hi @Afrothiti Manolis ,

Thank you for sharing that additional information. I believe JPD dates-fields are simply not supported at this time to be edited within the Filters tab like other fields.

I also believe this is the case with Jira date-fields as well. This is based on a quick test, so I could be wrong on this matter.
