Timeline views

In a "Quarters" view the duration of an idea is aligned to the end of the quarter and it does not match the real duration (e.g. in the middle of it, see image) thus making the view useless for any presentation purpose.

Is it a bug or a feature? ;)

Hi @Paolo Pastorino , did you know you could switch to monthly instead of quarterly?

This is currently by design. We are trying to make sure product conversations happen at the right level - e.g. not detailed delivery planning (that's what Jira Software is for) but for collaborating on product priorities based on goals and impact, and communicating them + commitments.

That's why our recommendation is to use Now/Next/Someday roadmaps. But if you absolutely need to communicate time commitments, then we tried to create the timeline view so you keep it high level (e.g. quarters) - we've talked with many teams chasing deadlines... and it's often a dead end.
