Roadmaps / cross-project views (premium feature) - are global fields needed?

Hi,

we have just started using JPD in our company and not yet released premium feature cross-project views will be needed in the future. Please can you let me know if I need to deploy global fields to every discovery project or harmonized custom fields would be okay, meaning if we agree on name, type, values and coloring?

For example

• Discovery project 1  uses field "Roadmap", type select, values Now,Next,Later
• Discovery project 2  uses field "Roadmap", type select, values Now,Next,Later (same color coding)

Will my cross project view show these disc. projects and only one column or two columns of Roadmap? Or does it only work with Global fields and every discovery project must use Global field Roadmap to show it as one column?

Hi there! 

Yes, Roadmaps will rely only on global and system fields. In your case, your field Roadmap needs to be global to be used in a roadmap. You can learn all benefits of global fields here and check this product demo about global fields.
