Hi all
We have around 90 people in our business. Of the 90 there are 4 in the product team. We have given Creator access to the 4 in the product team. We're trying to encourage everyone in the business to contribute to the boards in Jira Product Discovery. When they do, they create an idea. When they submit the idea, they cannot edit it? Why is this? Seems like a really poor experience and makes the product team look awful...

Hi, that is correct: only creators can edit ideas today.
The ability for contributors to submit ideas is like using a form: you enter details, then you submit it.
Maybe the requestor (as a contributor) gets the ability to edit the description of own ideas. If needed, only until the idea is in an "open" StatusCategory. Later the comments field should be used to keep track of the original request within the description field

I agree with @Andreas Safar ; it is critical for a requestor to be able to edit the idea they submit. Otherwise, it leads to a lot of back and forth in the comments or outside of the system, which diminishes the use of the system.
