Hi folks,
Here’s a snapshot of some of the newest features and performance improvements for Jira Cloud’s iOS app and Android app.
Service management projects have received a boost on mobile:
Service management incidents can now be marked as major. Major incidents are situations that cause significant disruption to regular business operations, and usually demand an urgent, high-priority response. Simply select the ‘Major’ toggle within an incident.
Incident responders can acknowledge alerts within service projects. Simply select ‘acknowledge’ within the alert.
Connect directly to Slack via the communication field in service management incidents (NOTE: Android only; coming to iOS soon). Via desktop, admins can connect Slack channels to projects. (Learn how to connect Slack to your project on desktop.) Then, connected Slack channels can be viewed in incidents on your Android device.
New gadgets have been built for dashboards on iOS (add them to your dashboard via desktop):
Sprint Health gadget. Monitor the progress of your sprint, including scope change, time elapsed, and any blockers. (See example image below.)
Projects gadget. Easily access (and keep track of) multiple projects and their specific filters.
Created vs Resolved gadget. Monitor the difference between created and resolved issues.
Activity Stream gadget. Keep an eye on recent activity within particular projects.
There’s also a new share button, so you can easily share your dashboard’s awesomeness with teammates.
You can now give some Jira push notifications higher priority over others on iOS. When you’re @mentioned or assigned to an issue, those notifications can be treated as time-sensitive, meaning you’ll receive them even when push notifications are muted. Manage time-sensitive notifications via your device’s system settings.
The arrangement of filters on the issues screen has changed, and is a little easier to navigate. Tidy sections for starred, recent, and other filters makes finding your favorite or most-used filters easier than ever.
Easily discern whether anything new has happened while you’ve been focusing elsewhere. On your board and backlog, and service management queues, relevant issues will display ‘X new updates’, allowing you to stay on top of changes.
Haven’t got the app? Download Jira Cloud for iOS from the App Store, or Jira Cloud for Android from Google Play.
And don’t forget you can sign up to be a beta tester and get early access to updates.
