Hello,

The edit button, in new view, is gone.   If I'm in old view, the custom fields will show during an Edit, but in new view they don't appear for edit at all.

Is there a way (switch, re-enable edit button, config change) or something, that adds the ability to see blank fields in new view?   This change is rather inconvenient using new view, and I'm not sure how much longer old view will be an option

The link above seems to offer functionality to manage tabs.

This is the Edit button in question which does not appear in the New View. How can this button be enabled to appear?

The Edit-Button has removed completely from New Issue View. Edits are now possible directly, in-line in other words. There is no way to bring the edit button back.

For fields to show up permanently you can put them in "Issue layout" configuration to "Context fields".

More information about this can be found here:

Just make sure the fields are not in "Hide when empty" subsection.

This is true, and it sucks.

Just got forced onto Cloud, and this still sucks 5 years later.   What if I can edit a ticket but not the layout?   It's stupid that I can't any edit any field, in this case the project owner hid "parent" instead of "epic/theme".   We hid the bajillion fields because it's a jumbled nightmare of garbage, but each team had to change their own layout and now I can't move the ticket to another epic.   This is an unacceptable regression.
