Can you export a kanban board to excel ?

6 answers

For 2018 and jira cloud users as this took me some time to find where the issue navigator was.

Go to Issues and filters > All issues > Advanced Search (top right) > export button then select csv (top right )

You can properly export your Jira agile scrum or kanban board to real Excel files with Better Excel Exporter for Jira Data Center (Server) and Cloud!

You can use the Issue Navigator or export right from the Jira board screen:

Read more on how to export your Jira board to Excel and what exactly can be achieved with Better Excel Exporter Cloud!

(Please note that Better Excel Exporter is a paid and supported app and I'm part of the team developing it.)

Open the 'Board' dropdown.

Select 'Configure Board' option

On the configuration page, click 'View Filter Query' option

On the filter page, on the top right corner, click the 'Export' option and choose Excel (All Fields) option

As of Feb 2021, I'd make a couple of edits, with props to Pravin A Birje above:

  1. Open the 'Board' dropdown.
  2. Select 'Configure' option
  3. On the configuration page, in the upper right, click 'Edit Filter Query' option
  4. On the filter page, on the top right corner, click the 'Export' option and choose CSV (Current Fields) option

Hello. How can i get to the Board dropdown and find the configure option?

On your kanban board its on the upper right. At least for me and my version(v8.5.6#805006). See below:

Thanks so much. I have very different view :)

thank you it worked

No, but you can export the issues it shows to CSV which Excel can read.  Just go to the issue navigator and use the same filter the board uses.

Hi Nic, where does the option to export to CSV appear?
