The Atlassian Community can help you and your team get more value out of Atlassian products and practices.
Our current (and preferred) organization has teams from the same Jira project spread across multiple Agile Release Trains. We have organize based on value stream and cross functionality to ensure autonomous trains.
For example:
Platform A/Jira Project A has one team on ART 1, one team on ART 2, and one team on ART3
Platform B/Jira Project B has one team on ART 1, one team on ART 2, and one team on ART3
Is it truly not possible to build programs in Jira Align using one Jira project across multiple platforms? Is there no way to integrate at the team level and not the project level?
@Kelly Flaherty The Jira Connector only supports mapping a given Jira project to a single Jira Align program. It is not possible to map a Jira project to multiple Jira Align programs. As I'm sure you know, issues belong to projects and not boards (teams) in Jira. Because of this, when a project is mapped to a program, all of the issues that belong to the project will get synced to the mapped program. If the connector allowed the mapping of a given Jira project to multiple programs, it would not be able to determine which issues belong to which program.
