Hey folks, Natalia here - head of product for Enterprise Agility. I love how engaged and fast our community is! The day after SAFe 6.0 comes out, you are already asking about how it impacts our roadmap 😀

On a serious note though, the reason why our customer choose and stay with Jira Align is: Align meets customers where they're at, and we listen to customers and partners in an attempt to predict the evolution of thinking in the business agility market. Because of that, for customers that plan to adapt to SAFe 6.0, Jira Align and Enterprise Agility have a lot to offer today. Specifically:

  • For the matter of business agility foundations and delivering outcomes with OKRs, we have been investing in the new OKR experience that is launching this quarter, and are planning to continue evolve goal and milestone management for more power and flexibility in setting and managing outcomes for our customers. You can follow our progress on these big rock capabilities on Atlassian's public roadmaps: https://www.atlassian.com/roadmap/cloud
  • For value flow acceleration and supporting concepts, our customers have been leveraging Jira Align's Enterprise Insights for years to understand and improve flow of value. Thanks to those amazing customers, the word has spread and you may have started seeing Jira Align and Atlassian featured and significantly accelerating our positioning in the Value Stream Management markets. We have more exciting Value Stream Management announcements coming up soon, please join us in person or virtually at TEAM'23 to learn more.
  • For AI, Big Data and Cloud (the three magic words in enterprise software today, eh) we on Jira Align partner closely with teams across Atlassian and benefit greatly from being a part of the Atlassian suite, family, and well, data model - the must have for big data. Because we capture value flow, OKR data, planning data, financial assumptions and many more across many layers of the organization, Atlassian customers can benefit from having a complete set of datapoints from their entire agile journey - from individual engineering team velocity to portfolio level blockers - across Atlassian tools. In this area, we also have a number of exciting announcements at TEAM'23, I hope you will get to check them out.

That is all to say that we are excited to see the evolution of SAFe, and as always we are here to support customers along the way.

That said, to @Christoph Piotrowski [catworkx] point, you have any specific questions in mind, please ask - happy to provide a viewpoint or a specific answer depending on the questions. And like Christoph said, terminology change meant to clarify team's R&Rs and business concept specificity is already available in Jira Align today as well.

Hello @Harald Heinz , good question that I also would like to think of. Most obvious point is the changed terminology (all "Program" related terms are replaced e.g. "Program Iteration" to "Planning interval". This change can already be done in the Jira Align configuration interface today. Which aspects do you have in mind specificially?

Hi Christoph. I have tried to change the platform configuration to reflect SAFe 6.0 but it looks like some terms in Jira Align are hard coded and not changed together with the platform configuration. I am on Enterprise Edition (Cloud) Build 10.119.1.29178.

Examples:

Program Increment Progress report is not changed

Program Increment Cleanup report is not changed

Program Increment in Configuration Bar is not changed.

Is there a way to change these as well? If not, can we expect an update to JA in the near future allowing these to be changed? Or simply change them for us running SAFe 6.0?

Hello @Mikkel Rasmussen _MKRS_ , I did not check the clean up report, but the other examples show "Planning Interval ...", if I change the term in the related Admin section ("Terminology"). Pls note, that you need to change the term of "Release" in the configuration interface.
