10.133 - deprecation of Portfolio Ask date field and change to Epic Milestones

Hi team,
I'd like to understand more detail regarding the deprecation of the Portfolio Ask date field and change to Epic Milestones as mentioned here:
Release-notes-for-10-132-X

and Upcoming removals: Time/skills tab and skills functionality

As previously announced, we’ll be removing the Time/Skills tab, all skills-related functionality, and epic Portfolio Ask fields from Jira Align in version 10.133.0, which is scheduled to deploy on Friday, May 10, 2024.

  • Note: We plan to remove the portfolio ask date field from milestones.

Questions:
1. Will you ALSO be removing "Portfolio Ask date" from:

  • Portfolio Epic > Details tab
  • Feature > Details Tab

2. Will Milestones retain the fields:

  • Deliverables
  • Start / Initiation
  • Target completion
  • Complete status

3. Will all existing Milestone data be retained and visible in the new tab?

@Heidi Hendry Thank you for your questions, please see below.

  • There is no impact or change to the Portfolio Ask Date outside of the current Time/Skills Tab.
  • Process Step Schedule (the top table in the Time/Skills tab) can be migrated upon request, to make this request please contact your current Advisory Services team or submit a Support Ticket requesting the migration.
    • Process Step will become Name
    • Start/Initiation will move to Start/Initiation
    • Target Completion will move to Target Completion
    • Status will migrate (Complete Yes = Completed, Complete No = On track)
  • Fixed Date Milestones will automatically migrate to the new Milestones tab.
    • Name will move to Name and to Description
      • Current Name field has a character limit of 450 and the new has a character limit of 60.  If the Name has more than 60 the Name will be truncated, but the full text will have also been placed in the description field so the data will not be lost.
    • Start/Initiation will move to Start/Initiation
    • Target Completion will move to Target Completion
    • Status will migration (Complete Yes = Completed, Complete No = On track)
  • Note:  If there are more than 20 milestones on a given work item which are migrated no new milestones (in that work item) will be able to be created unless some existing milestones are removed to get under the 20 count.

I hope that helps.
