can't use TortoiseSVN patch file to create Crucible inspection

I am trying to create a new Crucible inspection by uploading a patch file created by TortoiseSVN version 1.7.1 and Crucible keeps generating the error:

Error adding patch: Unrecognised diff format. Expected diff hunk descriptor but found:

I will upload the patch file as an attachment.
