I regularly need to send emails to everyone involved in a code inspection, however, there doesn't seem to be an easy way to send a notification to everyone without setting the due date in the past and using the send reminder functionality. (As well, I have occasional issues with people not remembering the code inspection before the due date and need to kick them to get things going.)

Share is useful for pulling extra people in, but only if the due date is in the future.

Is there a way I can have both buttons available independent of the due date?

Hi Kevin,

When the due date passes, the Share button can be used instead of the Send Reminder since they have basically the same functionality, so you may proceed using it.

There's a feature request for changing the button's name which you can check at https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CRUC-6826. Although it was closed without the change being implemented, there's an explanation about this feature and how it can be used.
