Old Version New Version compare requires file download

Every now and then when I create a review, the review pane requires me to download the new and old revision to compare them.  This is very inconvenient and I would love to figure out what in my files may be causing this.  The files are typically text only. 

Any suggestions?

Probably it's file format.  We use Subversion and Fisheye and see this occasionally.  Make sure your mime-type on the file is set properly in your CVS/DVCS.  \

Also make sure your FE/Cruc installation's raw-mime,types file is configured to recognize your file type.  Unconfigured filetypes are treated as binary.  See this Troubleshooting article.
