FishEye (4.5.0) installation not reading varfile responsefile

IB PaaS November 23, 2017

Hi,

We are trying to automatically install FishEye, using the -varfile option, but it doesn't seem to pick up the options in the response file.

When I run the installer manually but with the varfile option, it does pick up the 'custom install' option, but the installation paths are set to the defaults.

This is our responsefile (copied from the .install4j folder):

#install4j response file for FishEye 4.5.0
#Wed Nov 22 12:27:11 CET 2017
fisheye.inst.dir=d\:\\data\\fecru
options.installType=custom
sys.languageId=en
sys.programGroupName=FishEye
sys.adminRights$Boolean=true
sys.installationDir=d\:\\app\\fecru

Are we doing something wrong, or is this a bug in the installer?

Hello @IB PaaS,

The document Installing FishEye on Windows does not mention the possibility of automating Fisheye installation by using the -varfile option, so the installer is most likely not expecting that, and that explains why it is not picking the settings you're specifying.

Please use the GUI instead for installing Fisheye on Windows.
