Export search results from main search

Blake Piechocki April 29, 2014

In the "Advanced Search", there is the ability to export the list of results to a csv file. However, this appears to be down to a single repository in the results, and I would like to export the results across all repositories.

For example, if we are looking to change an enterprise wide datasource, we would like to be able to search all repos for usage of the datasource and export it to an easily manageable list that we can mark off repos as we discover false positives, etc.

Is this possible? Or is the export only at the repository search level?

Hi Blake,

exporting quick search results is not currently possible.

Please raise a feature request if you'd like to see it included in FishEye.

If you're interested in implementing the functionality as a FishEye plugin, please have a look at our developer documentation. The classes to get quick search results aren't public APIs right now, but you could have a look at using the QuickSearchService component, to fetch the results and then export them in your plugin.

Thank you for your answer!

I was kind of expecting this, but wanted to be sure that I did not just miss a setting or button somewhere. I just submitted a New Feature request, so we will see where that goes.

Thank you!
