Backing up and restoring FishEye while preserving the application links

sparkling_girl April 4, 2018

Hi all,

I would like to have a Fisheye/Crucible project imported from another server hosted somewhere else.

This project contains links to a JIRA project and a Perforce project (hosted somewhere else). The linking would need to be maintained or re-linked post-import.

I followed the article below to backup the existing FishEye through the GUI:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/fisheye/backing-up-and-restoring-fisheye-data-298976928.html

1) But the same article only has the steps to restore via command line, are there any steps I can follow on the GUI instead?

2) After restoring, will it automatically bring all my JIRA application links?

Thanks in advance

Hi @sparkling_girl,

1) A restore is only possible using the command line. At this stage, there is no user interface to perform a restore.

2) Yes, application links will be preserved. However, if you are performing a major change (e.g. changing the base URL), it could be better remove the link before taking the backup and recreate the link after the restore is complete.

Cheers,
