Is there a way to globally configure sprint schedule for multiple scrum projects in JIRA cloud?

Sadaf Mufti _105601_ March 11, 2024

We follow Agile scrum methodology in our organization which we manage by creating sprints. We publish sprint schedule manually on confluence for each quarter and Project managers have to pick up dates and enter in JIRA for each sprint creation. Id there a way in JIRA cloud to automatically pick up the quarterly schedule for sprints and map the dates in each project? I am looking for a way to automate this somehow. Please suggest.

Interested to hear, there certainly isn't in Jira Data Center.  Cross-project coordination is a fundamental design weakness in Jira at enterprise scaling, unfortunately.  We're most impacted by fixVersion being defined at the project level, and wrote our own in-house add-on to populate Releases across projects.  This also relied on the Project Properties add-on to allow each project to specify what Releases they want to be synchronized with.  We've had discussions about sprint synchronization, and if we did decide to go in that direction we'd similarly use our own coding to do so even the current capabilities.

Hi @Sadaf Mufti _105601_

Have you checked out Plans (formally Advanced Roadmaps)? It has a pre-configured view that shows your team's scheduled sprints, capacity, and scheduled work and it's dynamic so your PMs wouldn't have to manage anything.
