Support for 150,000 users on a single Confluence Cloud site is now generally available!

Hello, Atlassian Community! I’m Kelly Sitton from the Confluence Product Management team, here to share a major announcement for Confluence Cloud.

Today, we are excited to announce that Confluence Enterprise, Premium, and Standard plans support up to 150,000 users on a single site—a monumental 3x increase in scale from our previous limit.

Key infrastructure optimizations

We ensured that support for 150,000 users on a single site would remain performant and reliable by optimizing the infrastructure to reduce the CPU load. Additional key improvements include:

1. Increasing single-site resources to provide more power for users.
2. Automating background tasks to boost efficiency and deliver a better user experience at scale.
3. Improving page indexing speeds to enhance discoverability for newly edited or created content.

Wow! That's impressive...

Would be really great to see how many organizations actually have more than 50k or 100k users.

What about the marketplace apps? The quotes max out at 50K.

Also, at those user counts, will the pricing structure for the apps remain the same?

At that org size, team diversity will be huge and it's extremely unlikely all 150K users would need access to all apps. Even on that spending scale, apps will result in quite a bill :)
