Jira data center in Azure

Ben Finn March 13, 2022

I installed Jira Data Center in Azure using the deployment template. Everything is showing as "succeeded". However when I go to the URL provided in the deployment output, it says the site cannot be reached. Is there a step I am missing? All of the Atlassian documentation stops after the deployment is complete. I am a novice when it comes to servers and these deployments so I was hoping it would be easy.

Full disclosure, I am working for an NGO and we were able to get the non-profit pricing so we cannot switch to the SAAS product.

Hi Ben,

   I am trying to estimate the hours needed to install JSM in Data Center for 500 agents. I have used Atlassian for many years but never tried an Azure or AWS install, would you be willing to share an estimated hours that it took you to get the IaaS infrastructure deployed and Sass install completed?

Thanks,

Renee

@Ben Finn

Hi Ben

did you check that the instance is up and running?

Are there any exceptions shown in the application log?

Assuming that the setup looks like described at https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/getting-started-with-jira-data-center-on-azure-938846970.html, can you check if the DNS entry is correct and the application gateway working as expected

Cheers

Kurt
