Enforcement for all Users to enable 2FA

Stephan Krauss February 3, 2025

Hello everyone,

Will there be an option in the future to enforce 2FA for all users in a DC instance and integrate the setup process directly during login?

I believe that, at the moment, it is quite cumbersome to explain the process to inexperienced users or to ensure that all users switch to 2FA.

Cheers

Stephan

Hi @Marcelo Viana de Siqueira

thank you - but in my understanding this is only for users with admin privileges.

i think more in the way

A setting that enforces 2FA for all users, not just administrators

Automatic redirection to the 2FA setup process if a user has not yet enabled it

An administrative overview to see which users have 2FA enabled

This would greatly improve security and reduce the administrative effort of ensuring compliance.

Cheers

Stephan

Wait. So I just communicated to all my users that MFA will be enforced af of today. Now I read this is only for admins or users that may create users?? What is the whole point of the MFA solution if not to be enforce it for all users? Really Atlassian ...
