Locked out of crowd because of license

We reached our 50 user limit with Crowd and now we cannot get into Crowd. We would like to be able to login and delete a few users that are no longer with the company but we are completely locked out of Crowd. How can we get around this?

Hi there.

Since you mentioned that you were completely locked out of Crowd, I would like to understand the issue that you are running into a little better:

  • What is the error that you are getting from the web interface when you tried to access crowd using the right credentials?
  • Can you share the screen shot of the error that you are seeing fro the log in page?
  • Is this happening to every user who is trying to log in to Crowd?
  • Are there any errors that you are seeing from the {CROWD HOME}/logs/atlassian-crowd.log after you reproduce the issue? If there are any, can you share the snippet here?

I would to understand if the issue is actually related to you hitting the license limit or rather something else since I came across a KB which might be related to the this problem here:

If this is the case, may I recommend you to temporary generate an evaluation license key first which would allow you to log in again and start making changes to the structure of Crowd? Thanks.

Hi Ahmad, thank you for your response. It has been very difficult to get any help with this issue, thank you for responding. Do you have a direct number I can call you at? This is affecting production we need this fixed urgently. I am not sure why it would take three days for someone to respond from Atlassian. I thought we are paying for support? Correct me if I am wrong.

Anyway, please see below for the error I am seeing in the atlassian-crowd-openid-server.log. I have also attached the screenshots of the error I am seeing on screen.

I see that below constraint error in the log. This looks like a database error, are you aware of any fixes for this issue?

Ahmad, thank you for responding. It has been very difficult to get any response from Atlassian about this issue. This is affecting production, we would like to resolve this issue as soon as we can. It has taken three days for Atlassian to respond. I thought we are paying for support, correct me if I am wrong. Also, this is the second time I posting the response, the first time after clicking on reply it just cleared the page and went away.

I have copied the error log below from atlassian-crowd-openid-server.log. I have also attached some screenshots.

I am seeing the below error in the log. I am guessing this is a database constraint error. Are you aware of any fixes for this issue?
