Crowd Nested Group membership in Jira/Confluence

Hello,

I'm having troubles making nested group membership set up through Crowd work in Jira/Crowd (which are using it for user management).

In Crowd I have a group A, which has in its "Groups in this group" section another group B which has its own set of users.  Through crowd, if I look at the nested members tab for group A it shows the users from group B successfully, however if I sync with Jira/Confluence, the users from group B do not appear in group A.

I have ensured that I've checked "External User management" on both applications.

Would anyone have any ideas of ways in which I can troubleshoot this?
