trying to figure out the pricing scheme for project doc?

Antigone K August 14, 2015

it looks like,

  • $10/10 = $1/user
  • $600/25 = $24/user
  • $1100/50 = $22/user
  • $2000/100 = $20/user
  • $4000/250 = $16/user
  • $6000/500 = $12/user
  • $8000/2000 = $4/user
  • $10000/10000 = $1/user
  • $12000/10000 = $1.20/user

which makes absolutely no sense to me? are the numbers on the marketplace site inaccurate? thanks!

thanks, Robert!

For instance, why would I buy a 25 user license instead of 3 10 user licenses? The difference is $570.

thanks!

Hi Antigone, thank you for clarification! As far as I understand the license model, you cannot combine licenses on one server: https://www.atlassian.com/licensing/purchase-licensing#licensing-9 If the 3 teams work on three different server separately, then 3x 10 user licenses will certainly make sense. But if you need collaboration of 25 people on one server, you'll need to get the 25 user license.

It's a standard price scheme many add-ons apply.

Its 2$ per user per month, larger user bases get a discount. The 10 user license has a reduced price tag, which is also common on the Atlassian Marketplace.

You may want to compare this with that of Confluence: https://www.atlassian.com/licensing/confluence#serverlicenses-1

May I ask you to get more precise about what does absolutely not make sense? I cannot see it without a hint ... smile
