Hi all,

Our confluence is synced with our complete active directory, but not all ad users get access to confluence.

If we mention (@...) a user, which has no access to confluence, will he get a notification?

We would like to use mentions because it is fast and easy. But if the user gets emails, he will be really puzzled ...

My hunch is yes, but that seems a fairly easy thing to test. Just create a test user that fits the case and @mention the user. If you really want to make sure that they don't get email then you could make sure Confluence doesn't know their email address by removing it from AD.
