Hi,
I have a plugin on my confluence server whose vendor has made it into a paid plugin, but initially it was free. Now I do not wish to continue with the plugin, how do I move from my current plugin to suppose another plugin with same feature and that is free?
Hi @Haneena Fathima ,
based on your previous answer, the plugin seems to not store data in some specific table but it works at page level updating their contents. So no migration is required for that app.
I just searched on the marketplace and it seems that there are no free apps available with that feature.

Hi @Fabio Racobaldo _Herzum_ ,
We recently migrated our confluence from server to cloud without the plugins and we noticed that all the pages that used this app was showing error. Are you suggesting that a simple installation of the application on our already migrated confluence would work and the data would show?
Also the error is : unknown macro : 'numberheadings'

This depends on the App - and where the data is stored.
Can you give us the name of the App?

This is the app : Numbered heading (vendor : Appfire). Also we plan to move from the server to cloud.

@Haneena Fathima I would reach out to Appfire directly, speaking from experience, vendors are very forthcoming when it comes to assisting migrations. There might be option within the Appfire ecosystem - providing you'd continue using an Appfire solution in Cloud.
If you're hoping to use the app-specific content modification (numbered headings) with another app from another vendor, the chances that it would work are slim.
Even more so if the migration is involved. Cloud is a different environment and apps are more 'sandboxed' than they were on Server.

@Haneena Fathima if you are lucky they have built a migration tool.
Here is a little secret app vendors don't like (I'm an app vendor), Atlassian said at Team23 that when companies move from server to cloud they cut 30% of the apps they use. This saves money which Atlassian likes to promote but means fewer app sales ($$$) for vendors.
My point is a move to cloud is a great time to review what you are doing. You might find can get away with fewer apps, find better apps and ones that are cheaper. A lot more competition on the Atlassian Marketplace then was a few years ago when likely decided to purchase your apps.
There a a few different numbered headings options on the marketplace.
