Gary Banks November 18, 2013

What technology was used to create answers.atlassian?

We would like to have something similar for an internal forum.

answers.atlassian is built on top of OSQA but we are in the process of migrating it to Confluence Questions which you can learn more about here http://www.atlassian.com/questions

Confluence Questions is being made available for OnDemand instances this week so if you're a Confluence OnDemand customer you will be able to go into "Find new add-ons" in Confluence administration panel and trial Confluence Questions.

It's based on OSQA (link at the bottom left of every page). It's not an Atlassian product in itself.

There was some talk of releasing it as a product, but a slightly more integrated approach was taken. There is an addon called "Questions for Confluence" which implements a lot (but not all) of the stuff you see here. It's in Beta at the moment - see https://www.atlassian.com/questions
