confluence 4.2.1: How to access the wiki style editor?

samjones6 May 10, 2012

Sooooo, yesterday we upgraded from 3.1 to 4.2.1

Annnnd, two of my ten users have now come over and said "How do I access the wiki style editor?" (e.g. the wiki markup editor)

I see the "insert wiki" option, that does not do it. When we want to copy a large formatted block or such, the real wiki editor is the answer.

Where is it? thanks!!

Thanks!

There is no wiki markup editor in Confluence 4. See http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Confluence+4.0+Editor+-+What%27s+Changed+for+Wiki+Markup+Users

There is a source editor plugin if you want to edit the XHTML source but it is a different syntax altogether.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

We really really miss the wiki editor.

The new editor is really nice, but it is a big step backwards to lose the wiki editor.
