Whiteboard "unlock all elements" permission management

Cagkan Urkmez May 13, 2024

Hello community ,

Is there any option or setting regarding to Confluence Whiteboards "Unlock All Elements" Permission.

Our aim is to take this ability from users in our PI Planning event while our Squads doing their planning. Because it is high possibility that someone will unlock all grouped/locked items to prevent moving or deleting.

Expected behaviour will be like;

* Only whiteboard owner can have a permssion regarding to unlock elements to prevent mix up.

I believe you are limited to the whiteboard page restrictions.  You could make it view only for everyone except a few key people. At this time I don't see any finer permission settings.

Hi @Shawn Doyle - ReleaseTEAM  thanks for your answer.

Yeap I have the same perception, but wanted to ask/learn if something else is possible.

Because with Whiteboard capability, Confluence has become something more powerful 😎 And solution should consider the events that can be managed with Whiteboard like Retro, PI Planning etc.

And for these kind of events, it is very crucial for everybody to contribute and collaborate at the same time.

That's why I don't want to limit anybody, but I want to preserve elements to be deleted or moved while executing our activity.

Maybe this will be considered in time by Whiteboard APP Product Owners/Managers. 🤞🤞
