Using Stiltsoft Table Filters while editing table/page?

David Allan Neuhaus February 2, 2022

We use Confluence Tables for creation & tracking QAQC items across different teams and platforms.
Our QA adds rows to be reviewed weekly with the team that own the component.  We go through these, discussing solutions, adding notes and possibly creating a Jira Bug or Improvement Story from in the table. Ok the stage is set!!

We can filter by component, reviewed/unreviewed, etc when the page is PUBLISHED ONLY. We need to add notes, mark items reviewed, create tickets, etc in real time during the meeting, but the filters do not work in editing mode.

Is there a way to enable filters in edit mode? or is there a better way of doing what i am describing?

Hi @David Allan Neuhaus ,

Unfortunately, this feature is not available for Cloud due to the limitations of its editor.

Hello @Katerina Kovriga _Stiltsoft_ , my name is Alec Hoggan; I am a colleague of @David Allan Neuhaus and I was hoping to ask a follow up question pertaining to the cloud version of confluence. I am currently displaying my testing findings in tables within a confluence page and I was wondering if there was any way to implement a drop down capability within my tables, i.e. the ability to select an already entered option from a drop down list of choices (yes, no, tbd, etc.). Please let me know how I could make this capability possible at your earliest convenience; I have attached an example of the capability I am looking to implement below, thank you.

Hi @Alec Hoggan ,

The Table Filter and Charts for Confluence app doesn't provide this option for native Confluence tables, but the Handy Macros for Confluence add-on allows to create predefined sets of statuses (like a dropdown menu you've described).

If there is no any strict rule to work only with native Confluence tables, then the Table Filter and Charts for Confluence provides the Table Spreadsheet macro - so you'll be able to use spreadsheets right on Confluence pages, use the Excel functionality and easily recreate the screenshot with a dropdown menu that you've posted above.
