To move the DB from Oracle 11g, we plan to migrate the Confluence current version: 5.8.18 to Postgresql 9.4
HI @Ryazbb! I suggest you to first switch database then upgrade confluence. This is what you need to read before you move on with the change - https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/migrating-to-another-database-148867.html - and upgrade - https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/upgrading-confluence-4578.html
Thanks Mirek,
For your reply, Confluence 5.8.18 is compatible with Postgresql 9.3, whereas we do not support anything below postgres 9.4, please advice.
Best Regards,
Riyaz

Actually it does not mean that Confluence 5.8.18 is not compatible with 9.4 but only not tested by Atlassian (and recommended officially). You can test on your own or if you are afraid upgrade Confluence to 6.0 temporary (where 9.3 is still supported) and later switch to 9.4 and upgrade to the latest again.
