You can't have the source code unless you buy a license and hence agree to the licensing conditions.
I suppose you could ask Atlassian to tell you about the bits you want to ask about, but as you can get a $10 license, that might be a lot more quick and easy.
Hi Nic - We just bought a $10 starter license. However, I not able to login to the "Browse Source" link here:

It is asking for a username/password credential that I am not aware of. Any idea how to register for one?

I don't think that you can see the source. If you log into your my.atlassian.com account, you will have the link "view source" for everything, except for Team Calendars.
